I knew this day would come, but I didn't expect it so soon.
This story begins rather grossly: Stella has been having problems with blowouts lately. Yuck. We thought she just needed a bigger size diaper. But she started wearing twos yesterday, and it turns out that wasn't the solution. This morning, I was taking a nap [THANK YOU HUSBAND], and Stella had an incident. Gideon also happened to be taking a nap and Ole didn't want to go in their room to get a change of clothes for her, and her spare outfit in the diaper bag hadn't been replaced yet [I told you, lots of blowouts], so he took Gideon's spare onesie out of the diaper bag and put Stella in it.
It fit.
I knew there was a good chance they'd be wearing the same size or Stella would pass Gideon in size, but my little three-month-old? Oh dear.
Anyway, here is photographic proof. Gideon and Stella are wearing the same style, brand, and size [9 mo.] onsie. The only difference is the color.

Update
I really enjoyed Carolyn's update post, so I am going to copy it. Here's what's up with my babies.
Gideon is three days shy of ten months. He is busygetting into discovering everything! He crawls everywhere and enjoys pulling himself up on the furniture and cruising. Yesterday he took four or five unassisted steps: he had pulled himself up on the rocker and wanted to get to the crib, so he just let go and went for it. [oh.dear.] He loves to eat and can easily handle anything that doesn't require teeth. He can drink from a sippy cup or a cup with a straw [or a regular cup, but that gets pretty wet]. He's a great sleeper except when Stella's bugging him. He loves books. He loves chasing the dog. He enjoys having 'clicking conversations' with you: he makes a clucking noise with his mouth, you make the same noise [or any noise], he clucks back, etc. I'm trying to teach him to clap and wave and blow kisses, but he's not interested in any of that. People generally comment on his amazing blue eyes [they are pretty great], or how well behaved he is. Things he's good at that surprise me include: wearing hats, getting his ears cleaned [he especially loves this], and getting his nails clipped. He's not very good at getting his diaper changed and I often end up with a butt-naked baby crawling halfway accross the room. Oh, how I love him.
Stella is three months and four days old. I love this age! So much happens [much too quickly]. She is now smiling all the time, she can bear some weight on her legs, and she's just beginning to laugh. Sometimes she sleeps through the night [yesterday she slept from 9-7 with just a little fussing around 5], and sometimes she doesn't [two nights ago I wanted to cry. wait, i did cry.]. She's starting to reach for things, but hasn't found much success yet. I love that I can carry her with one arm without worrying that her head is going to fall off. She likes her swing, her mobile, and her momma's face. She eats four times a day, sometimes a tiny bit at night. She's not a pacifier lover like Gideon was, but she's really great at sucking on her fist. She's wonderful!
I enjoy watching them grow. They are pretty interested in each other, but I keep them separated for the most part. I'm kind of nervous about what Gideon will do [once he smacked her in the face. hard.]. Sometimes Gideon tries to click at her, and he's always trying to grab at her. This stage of life is crazy! Crazy and fun.

No Big Deal
If you know anything about how to be a trendy mom, then you know that you are supposed to put a big, honkin' bow on your daughter. I once saw a onsie that read, "the bigger the bow, the better the mom." Well, Stella didn't have any big bows, so what did I do? I made one. See:
I got a bunch of pink ribon and went to town. Then I stuck it on a headband:
I know it's not perfect, but I'm so proud that I made the thing. Go me.

Monday
Monday was so nice out that we just had to go outside. We probably overdressed Gideon, but he enjoyed it anyway.

Day 15: My dream house
I spend a lot of time dreaming about the perfect house, so this is fun for me.
My Dream House has at least three bedrooms on one level, preferably four. It also has a cute little mother-in-law apartment in the basement so that people will like to come and visit us.
Other than that, what I mostly dream about is the master bathroom. I have a thing for really, really amazing bathrooms. I want a shower that wastes a ton of water...something like this:
I want at least two sinks [duh] and a really great garden tub...with one of those double sided fireplaces that lets you see into the bedroom. And I want a little vanity area where I can sit down and do my make-up or my hair. Because I'm lazy.
Oh, and I want my house to be no further than 10 minutes away from a Target.

How to tell if you have the best husband in the whole wide world.
Here is simple test to see if you have the best husband ever.
This test is 100% accurate.
1. Has your husband bought you flowers in the last month?
2. Were these flowers so numerous that you needed three vases?
3. Has your husband ever slept on your side of the bed [while you were taking care of your baby] so that when you finally got to bed, your side would be toasty-warm?
4. Does your husband take your children to Wal-Mart at 7:30 a.m. just so you can go back to sleep for an hour?
5. Does your husband do more laundry than you do? Like, does he do all of it?
6. Is your husband's name OLE?
If you answered yes to all of the above questions, then congratulations! You have the best husband in the entire universe!

I debated whether or not I should share this picture, but in the end I decided [obviously] that I just couldn't keep it to myself. This is Stella's poop face. She makes this face every time she poops and only when she poops. If she does not make this face then I can assure you-no matter what you heard, felt, or smelled-it's just gas.
Isn't she adorable?

What we did this weekend
Here's a little list of things that our family did this weekend:
-Ole, Stella, and I watched a movie after Gideon went to sleep [something we haven't done in a while]. We cuddled. Stella was totally a third wheel, but she didn't care at all.
-We decided to try out a night of Gideon not having his pacifier. It was a complete shock for us to find out that the pacifier was our crutch, not his. He cried for a little bit and then fell right to sleep. He has now been pacifier free for more than two days! Naptime is kind of rough, but so much better than we had thought it would be!
-We took a drive through a nice neighborhood and drooled at the pretty houses [look forward to the 'my dream house' post]. Ooooh, pretty houses.
-We gave neighborhood kids sticks of sugar [lollipops] and put our kids in silly hats.
-We made several trips to Target. My mom gave us a stack of coupons for $5 off of Similac products. With their recall, they currently have 1-quart sized premade formula on sale for $3.68. This means FREE FORMULA. We are stocking up.
