Rhode Island
We visited my parents last week. It was a great trip and I've been meaning to post some photos:
In the airport:
On the plane (he did great!)
And in Rhode Island....

On a roll
Gideon rolled over today! I wasn't there to see it, so I made Ole put him on his tummy again and he went right over! He was mostly just angry about being on his belly, so I guess that was his motivation. But still, I'm a proud mama.
And, in case you didn't see my facebook, I saw our little gal move for the first time yesterday. Quite a strange and exciting sight!
I know it's been a while since I've posted photos--I'll put some on when we get back home.

Love is patient.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.
This morning at 4 am, I was awake and Gideon was mad. As he was screaming and I was jiggling and swaying and trying to talk in a calm voice, I was struck with the though that God knew what he was doing when he wrote the Bible...
Specifically, I'm talking about 1 Corinthians 13:4-8. I'm not so great at memorizing Scripture, and it would take me a while to stumble through all the things that love are. But, I could never forget the very first phrase: 'love is patient.' At four in the morning, that small snippet of Scripture can jump to the front of my foggy brain. Every part of that passage is important, but I know that it wasn't random choice that God decided to put 'patient' first. He's a smart dude.

the wee hours
It's 4:25am. I am usually awake at this hour, but usually I'm not coherent enough to form a sentence.
Well, I guess it's your lucky morning, because I feel like blogging.
About what??
hmmm...
1. Yes, mommy would like a Sienna.
We need a bigger vehicle. Two car seats in the back of the Neon...that isn't going to work. Ole won't be able to squeeze his legs into the space allotted. I'm convinced I need the Sienna. This is based wholly on the 'Mommy Like' commercials that I've seen on Hulu. But my number one requirement for a vehicle is that it have heated seats. I would trade the AC for heated seats in a baby's heartbeat (which is way faster than an adult's heartbeat).
2. No, mommy would not like to be up at this hour.
We are ready to Ferberize. According to the research, Gideon is not old enough or big enough to begin this process yet. So, I am awake. As usual. Although, if we were Ferberizing, I suppose I'd be awake now, anyway. With a headache.

Not much to report
My two babes are both busy growing.
They like to kick each other when Gideon is sitting on my lap :).
